Every December, I could light a different candle in every room and call it festive. I don't. I keep my Christmas candle scents to three, and each one has a job: one says the tree is up, one says the party has started, and one says the kitchen is busy.

Yuletide Balsam Whisper Christmas Candle is the scent of my tree. My tree is artificial, so this candle, along with its matching spray, is what makes my house smell like a fresh-cut tree.

Tips for Burning Christmas Scented Candles
- Light it before guests arrive. About 30 minutes is enough for the scent to fill the room.
- Keep scent off the dinner table. Let the food be the star at the table and put candles in the rooms around it.

- Let the first burn reach the edges. Burn for 3 to 4 hours, or until the whole surface melts, so the candle does not tunnel.
